An Adult Sponsor is a teacher, homeschool\nparent, club leader or other adult who has agreed to supervise your project and\nhelp you complete your paperwork.&nbsp; You\ncannot register for the fair without an Adult Sponsor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Register:<\/em> Your Adult Sponsor must register themselves\nas an Adult Sponsor, register your school for the fair, add your project to\ntheir profile and add you to the project before you can log in and access your\naccount. &nbsp;Make sure your Adult Sponsor\nregisters you with an email address which can receive messages from outside of\nyour school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Receive an email<\/em>: Once your Adult Sponsor has\nregistered you for the fair you will receive an email from CSC STEMisphereInfo\nat <a href=\"mailto:STEMisphereInfo@CarnegieScienceCenter.Org\">STEMisphereInfo@CarnegieScienceCenter.Org<\/a>\nwith information about how to log in.&nbsp;\nPlease check your junk mail folder if you do not see this email.&nbsp; This email contains a link which will allow\nyou to set your password and log in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Logging In and Accessing Forms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to complete the required forms, you will need to\nlog in to your account at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.STEMisphere.org\/PRSEF\">https:\/\/www.STEMisphere.org\/PRSEF<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An account was created for you when your Adult Sponsor\ncreated your profile and registered you for the fair.&nbsp; You should have received an email from CSC\nSTEMisphereInfo at <a href=\"mailto:STEMisphereInfo@CarnegieScienceCenter.Org\">STEMisphereInfo@CarnegieScienceCenter.Org<\/a>\nwith information about how to set up your account and log in.&nbsp; Please check your junk mail folder if you do\nnot see this email.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the link in the email to set your password and log in.\nIf you cannot find the email, navigate to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.STEMisphere.org\/PRSEF\">https:\/\/www.STEMisphere.org\/PRSEF<\/a>\nand use the Forgot your Password link to generate a new email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you registered with an email address which cannot receive\nemail from outside of your school, contact <a href=\"mailto:PRSEF@CarnegieScienceCenter.org\">PRSEF@CarnegieScienceCenter.org<\/a>\nto have your password reset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sharing an email address<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are sharing an email address with your parent\/guardian, you will be able to access both profiles using the same username and password.\u00a0 To switch between the Student role and the Parent role, click on &#8220;Registrations \/ Forms&#8221; and then on &#8220;Manage Parent Forms&#8221; (for the Parent profile) and &#8220;Manage Forms&#8221; (for the Student Profile) on the horizontal menu bar just below the black and white speckled area.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Changing Registration Information and adding your\nabstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need to change your project title or add your\nabstract, log in and click on (edit) next to your project title. If you need to\nchange any of your contact information, please ask your Adult Sponsor to log in\nand click on (view) next to your name on their registration page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accessing Forms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Required Forms:<\/em> Once you have logged in, you should\nsee your name, the title of your project and a list of required forms for your\nproject.&nbsp;&nbsp; Form 1, 1A, 1B, and 3 are\nrequired for ALL projects.&nbsp; Depending\nupon the topic of your project and how your Adult Sponsor completed Form 1, additional\nforms might be listed for your project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Team Projects<\/em>: If you are working with other students\non a team project, only one student on the team will see all of the required\nforms.&nbsp; Each team project requires a\nseparate Form 1B for each student but only one copy of each of the other\nforms for each project.&nbsp; The first\nstudent who was registered to the project will see all of the required forms\nunder their profile. The other members of the team will only see Form 1B under\ntheir profiles.&nbsp; All of the students on\nthe team must complete and sign their Form 1B before the project will be\nreviewed by the Scientific Review Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Completing Forms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Required Forms:<\/em> When you first log in, most of your\nforms will have a red background.&nbsp; Forms\nwith a red background are required, but haven\u2019t been completed yet. All of the\nforms listed next to your project are required. If you see forms which you do\nnot think should be required, talk to your Adult Sponsor about the information\nthey recorded on your Form 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Provide Information:<\/em> Click on each form to view the\nquestions which need to be answered for each form. &nbsp;Add a response to each required question for\neach required form. Reference the form instructions if you have any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Pending Completion:<\/em> Each form will turn yellow once\nyou have begun to answer the questions. The form will continue to be yellow\nuntil all of the required signatures have been added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ready for Review:<\/em> Once a form is complete and all of\nthe signatures have been added, the form is ready for review by the Scientific\nReview Committee (SRC).&nbsp; Forms which are\nready for review will turn purple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When all of the forms for a project are ready for review\n(purple), a red Submit for Review button will appear in the status field.&nbsp; Click on this button to make the forms\navailable to the Scientific Review Committee.&nbsp;\nFor team projects, all of the forms for all of the individual students\nmust be ready for review before the Submit for Review button will be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Corrections:<\/em> Once your project has been reviewed, you\nwill receive an email alerting you to an update of your project status.&nbsp; Log in and click on (Review Details) in the\nStatus field for feedback.&nbsp; Repeat the\nprocess above to make any corrections requested by the Scientific Review\nCommittee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accessing Feedback<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Project Status<\/em>: The SRC reviews each project and gives\nit a review status of Approved, Conditionally Approved, Additional Review\nRequired or Unacceptable. In addition to assigning a new project status, the\nSRC will update the status of each form and provide feedback regarding any\nchanges which need to be made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To view the feedback from the Scientific Review Committee\n(SRC), click on (Review Details) in the Status field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your project is in <strong>Approved<\/strong>\nstatus, no additional action is needed.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your project is in <strong>Conditionally\nApproved<\/strong> status, no additional action is needed in the registration system.\nYou may begin experimentation but you must correct the forms according to the\nfeedback given by the Scientific Review Committee and have corrected versions\nof your forms available for review on the day of the fair. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your project is in <strong>Additional\nReview Required<\/strong> status, you must correct the forms according to the\nfeedback given by the Scientific Review Committee (SRC) and resubmit your\nproject for another review by the SRC before the fair. You may begin\nexperimentation at this time, but you may not participate in the fair unless\nyour project is reviewed again and changed to Approved or Conditionally\nApproved status.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your project is in <strong>Unacceptable<\/strong>\nstatus, you must correct the forms according to the feedback given by the\nScientific Review Committee (SRC) and resubmit your project for another review\nby the SRC before the fair. You may not begin experimentation at this time and\nyou may not participate in the fair unless your project is reviewed again and\nchanged to Approved or Conditionally Approved status.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Multiple reviews<\/em>: If your project is in Approved or\nConditionally Approved status, no further work is needed within the\nregistration system.&nbsp; \n\nIf your project is in Additional Review Required\nor Unacceptable status, you must make the changes and\/or additions requested by\nthe Scientific Review Committee (SRC).&nbsp;\nOnce the changes have been made and you use the Submit for Review button\nto send the project back to the review committee, the SRC will re-review your\nproject.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations on your decision to participate in the Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair.
