Make your kid a coder: Robot Turtles board game now available at Nordstrom (geekwire)

Still searching for some gift ideas? Robot Turtles, the “first board game for little programmers,” might be a good gift idea to keep those idle little hands busy.

Developed by Seattle software entrepreneur Dan Shapiro, it is reportedly the “most backed board game in Kickstarter history,” raising $630,000 and shipping 25,000 first editions.

If you missed out on that, no worries, you can now get the game at Nordstrom. That’s right, have fashion is meeting geekdom.

“We try and bring a variety of toys that we like including plush animals, DIY kits, nostalgic toys, as well as great games like Robot Turtles. We hope our customers love the game,” Nordstrom’s Dan Evans told GeekWire.

Game manufacturer ThinkFun also commissioned a study to assess the game’s cognitive benefits for kids. Their results include improved creative and problem-solving skills.
